Paco Station (Old and New) Area.
Remnant rails of the Cavite Line.
In this curved part between Paco Station and San Andres Station, while the Southrail turned right the Cavite line back then brnached out here and went straight through those buildings in the back ground.
The 2nd Old Paco Station. This was the station back in the 90's up to 2008 when Paco Station area was flooded and commonly called "Paco Lake".
On the northbound side of the tracks there used to be a wooden platform and beside it was the Paco Station sign. The sign was never re-transferred to the new Station and its still there in the basketball court.
The Cavite Line went straigh through these buildings and this hi-way. Back then those buildings and this hi-way which is now the Northern start of the South Express Way did not exist yet and the Cavite Line railway just goes straight through here..
..and entered here in the other side of the hi-way in this now small street called Texas in Barangay Zone 80 of Malate Manila. It will go straight through Munoz Street then to Singalong Street then to through Pasay City's Tramo road and partially ending in Paranaque City's Aurora Blvd becuase of the Airport now in its way.
The Manila International Airport used to be in Ayala Ave in Makati City until it was moved in the middle of Pasay and Paranaque City in its current location in 1948 claiming the Cavite Line Row. Today that area is the Domestic Flights area of Manila International Airport. After the Airport, the Cavite line continues to Paranaque and Las Pinas City's Imelda Ave then to Del Pilar Street then to Tramo named raod again then through Fruto Santos Ave then Through Bacoor Cavite's Real Street then Gen. Evangelista Street then through Binakayan Cavite's Congbalay Road then Through Rosario Cavite where now an SM mall was built over the row. Then it continues through a Tramo named road again straight to the end of the line in Amaya Cavite where now a school named Amaya Elementary school now stands. In the future when I find the time, I'll go on adventuring to re-discover this Lost Cavite Line.
While taking pictures in the old side tracks area of the old Paco Station, 5001 passed by hauling FCD-8 or the rail police train (I dont know where it came from mayble Lucena or Calamba but mainly from railway clearing duties). When I got home and uploaded the pictures in my PC and saw this picture, I was left amazed and wondered. What did the old Paco Station looked like back then with its glorious Station and many side tracks with trains parked there, unlike now where the trains only pass by its ruins.
For now this is the current busy Paco Station.
